The American Society of Safety Professionals, University Wisconsin – Stout Student Chapter is an organization comprised of active student members who represent forward safety and risk control initiatives.

Our VISION is to serve as a premier source for endorsing high ethical values and best business practices within the risk control profession, while encouraging life-long professional bonds through the fellowship of business professional persons united in the ideas of safety and an improved quality of life.
Our MISSION is to remain current within the environmental, safety and health industry and to stay true to the fundamental lessons of effective risk control by:
- Student growth and development through national, chapter and local ASSP conferences and professional gatherings.
- Collaboration and sharing scholarly ideas and discussions that enhance networking and life-long professional contacts.
- Providing the campus and community settings a presence of safety advocates who strive to improve asset protection among organizations and public entities.
- Facilitating professional development opportunities through hands-on experience, educational workshops and professional seminars.
