Mental Health: The Next Crisis We Don’t Want

Suicide rates are up dramatically. The construction industry had one of the highest rates of worker death by suicide of any industry. But mental health concerns are far more reaching than just suicide. COVID has not been easy on us, and we are just beginning to see its impacts on mental health. Whether it is an employee or one of their family members dealing with a mental health crisis, mental health concerns will likely impact every one of us. We will talk about statistics, identify stressors, ways to recognize potential concerns in employees, ways to manage that and resources available. Let’s start the conversation.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 (24/7) to connect to a skilled counselor.  You can also text “Hello” to 741741.
